Locking Gas Springs
Shock-Lock Gas Struts eliminate the need for a separate safety rod or support in critical lift assist applications. Each strut is fitted with a shroud that engages at fully extended position, preventing the strut from compressing prior to manual dis-engagement. Shrouds are provided in a matching black epoxy finish as the gas spring tube. Gas spring rods are nitride protected. The spring force listed in the data table is for the extended position of the strut; forces will increase slightly as the strut is compressed. End fittings are supplied as indicated in the data table, but Associated Spring RAYMOND offers a complete line of end fittings to suit your application. For clarification on technical terms see our FAQ. As an alternative to the Shock-Lock consider fitting a Universal Stop Tube to a gas spring for complete 316SS construction or to achieve additional size configurations. For infinite possibilities in configuration and materials see our engineered solution services.
