ASRaymond’s SPEC® Conical Compression Springs are cone shaped to provide constant spring rates and significantly more travel, or lower solid height, than traditional Compression Springs. The improved solid height is achieved by nesting active coils within each other during compression.
Pre-Engineered Conical Springs are ideal for applications that need to store and release energy — apply a push force or return something to its original state. A common application for them is in electrical contacts, such as battery contacts and push buttons. SPEC Conical Springs are supplied with ends squared and right-hand wound.
